2026 Committees
Ambassador
The Chamber Ambassador Committee is a group designed to enhance the Chamber of Commerce's outreach, engagement, and support for its members and the local business community. Our group of dedicated volunteers serve as the chamber's goodwill representatives and the face of the Chamber. These ambassadors play a crucial role in fostering stronger relationships between the Chamber, its members, and the broader business community.
Special Events
This committee helps plan and carry out the Chamber’s smaller community events throughout the year. By organizing activities that bring people together, the committee fosters meaningful engagement for both residents and visitors, helping to showcase the vibrancy and hospitality of Yancey County.
Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair
This committee oversees the planning and execution of the Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair, one of the Chamber's signature events. Members help with key areas such as jurying and selecting vendors, coordinating event logistics, and promoting the fair through marketing efforts.
