2025 Committees
Travel & Tourism
This committee works to promote local events, support tourism initiatives, and enhance visitor experiences. By highlighting all Yancey County has to offer, the committee helps attract travelers, strengthen the local economy, and drive lasting prosperity for the community.
Special Events
This committee helps plan and carry out the Chamber’s smaller community events throughout the year. By organizing activities that bring people together, the committee fosters meaningful engagement for both residents and visitors, helping to showcase the vibrancy and hospitality of Yancey County.
Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair
This committee oversees the planning and execution of the Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair, one of the Chamber's signature events. Members help with key areas such as jurying and selecting vendors, coordinating event logistics, and promoting the fair through marketing efforts.
Annual Gala/Silent Auction
This committee plans and organizes one of the Chamber’s signature events. Members assist with event logistics, secure auction items, and help create a memorable evening that celebrates our community while supporting the Chamber’s mission.
