The Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair is one of Yancey County’s most beloved traditions, celebrating the artistry and craftsmanship of our region. Celebrating its 70th year in 2026, this annual event has brought hundreds of talented artisans to historic downtown Burnsville, where Main Street comes alive with artists' talent, music, and community spirit. Held on the first weekend in August, the fair offers visitors the chance to shop unique handmade goods while enjoying the beauty and charm of the Burnsville.
