1pm: Smokey Joe: During Smokey Joe’s 35-year career, he has played as the house band for a live radio show, was nominated for string band of the year while playing with the Wisteria String Band and won the Charlotte Music Awards “Country Show Case” with The Smokey Joe Show in 2008.
3pm: Amantha Mill: A community-oriented folk/bluegrass act with one foot rooted firmly in our heritage and the other planted in exploring new acoustic sounds.
4th Annual TRACTOR Farm to Fork Dinner in Burnsville, North Carolina. On Sunday, August 25th from 5-9pm. This year’s featured chef is Taylor Montgomery from Mountain Air Country Club. Spirits & Hors D’Oeuvres on South Main Street from 5-6pm, dining in the Town Center from 6-9 pm. Live entertainment by The 42nd Street Jazz Band.
1pm: Sam McKinney: A talented young local singer and guitarist from Spruce Pine, whose repertoire includes a dynamic mix of traditional and contemporary music. His captivating voice and guitar styles immediately engage the audience and leave them wanting more.
3pm: Roan Mountain Moonshiners: T.V. Barnett and his band play nothing but east Tennessee style oldtime mountain music, they way it’s been played in these parts for hundreds of years.
